Accessing Moodle
Different types of courses have different Moodle access points:
- The Moodle landing page provides access to current credit courses, current Professional and Continuing Studies courses and archived courses.
- The Moodle sites page lists all of Royal Roads' Moodle sites, including Open Educational Resources, communities of practice and sandbox sites.

Create audio and video
Instructors can create, edit and share audio and video files using My Media in Moodle.
Simple editing is available inside the platform; for example, you can add titles and credits to your video.
Through My Media, you can make:
- videos (e.g., welcome messages, video quizzes or recorded sessions)
- screencasts (e.g., a tour of course and student presentations)
- audio recordings (e.g., overview of units or readings)
Media you create will be stored in your personal user library. You'll upload it once and can share it on multiple courses. Using My Media, you won't need to find external video-hosting services (e.g., YouTube). Your students can watch ad-free videos in Moodle, without navigating away from the course.
To learn more about My Media, review these how-to guides.
