Sponsor a bench
The Royal Roads University Commemorative Bench Program provides a meaningful way for individuals and community members to recognize milestones, celebrate events, or honour loved ones while enhancing Royal Roads’ gardens and grounds.
For a donation of $5000, a commemorative plaque will be installed on a new or refurbished bench within RRU’s gardens for a period of 10 years. After 10 years, the donor has the option to renew their donation for an additional decade of care and commemoration. During the 10-year period, Royal Roads will ensure basic maintenance of the bench. Note: the bench style is specific to its location in the gardens and each bench has a plaque with room for a brief inscription.
Contributions to the RRU Commemorative Bench Program are fully tax-deductible, and payment can be made by credit card or cheque.

A tribute gift to Royal Roads University in honour or memory of someone is a meaningful way to acknowledge the impact this person has on your life.
You can make the gift to our area of greatest student need, or choose an existing fund to support. You'll find something that would be special to the person you are honouring. And, your gift will make an incredible difference to our university community.
Acknowledging your gift
If you would like, we'll send the person you're honouring, or their family, a note to let them know about your generosity. We'll keep the amount of your gift confidential.
We'll need the following:
- the name of the individual you're honouring
- the name (if different than above) and contact information of the people to be notified
- a message you'd like us to include (optional)
