Achieving curriculum excellence takes a team.
At Royal Roads University, faculty, contributors and stakeholders work together to design programs and courses that deliver on the curriculum. That help students learn what they need to reach their academic and personal goals.
Ensuring curriculum excellence
Here are some ways the Centre for Teaching and Educational Excellence (CTET) ensures curriculum excellence at Royal Roads.
Focus on learning outcomes
Programs and courses are designed around learning outcomes. These learning outcomes are informed by review teams, which include industry professionals. The outcomes ensure courses are built to help students graduate with a strong set of competencies in their field.
Curriculum Committee
The Royal Roads Curriculum Committee reviews and approves new courses. The committee members have deep experience in adult education and are guided by Royal Roads' Learning, Teaching and Research Model.
Apply learning design methodologies
When CTET helps develop new courses, we apply best practices in learning design methodology.
Quality control
All courses in Moodle, our learning management system, go through regular technical and quality control reviews.
