Real-world solutions
By advancing our Living Lab program, we can work together to test innovative ideas and solutions to real-world challenges.
Living lab projects underway:
- Creating a kitchen garden and food farm on campus,
- Students in the School of Environment & Sustainability mapping the biodiversity on campus and participating in nature-based programs to study climate impacts and solutions.
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Innovation and Sustainability putting students to work solving real-world problems, such as how to ramp up food production on campus, and
- Design Thinking Challenge providing teams of undergraduate business students, the opportunity to contribute to an issue of societal concern. For these challenges, students work with civic leaders to address a real-world design challenge.
- Students in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management are involved in sustainable destination planning, protecting wildlife and managing sustainable hotels.
