In a world often marked by political conflict and division, we invite you to join in with people around the world who share hope for peace and view a livestream of the Israeli-Palestinian Joint Memorial Day Ceremony.

From the Ceremony’s web site

  • “Now in its 20th year, the joint memorial features testimonies from bereaved Israeli and Palestinian families, musical performances, and messages of peace from human rights leaders. It provides a beacon of hope in darkness and aims to demonstrate that, even in the face of unimaginable loss, we all can still choose humanity over hatred and hope over despair.”

For the RRU event, we will convene to watch the first 45 minutes of the livestream, in person on the Quarterdeck, and then break into small groups to reflect. Facilitation will be in place to foster dialogue and hold space for the strong emotions we may feel, while, in the spirit of the Memorial, focus on working toward a more peaceful world.
