Improving Outcomes for Youth Experiencing Multiple Barriers to Employment Through Supportive Employment Partnerships

Drs. Axe, Childs, and Manion partnered with Zero Ceiling to research an employment program for youth experiencing multiple barriers to employment.

Drs. Jo Axe, Elizabeth Childs, and Kathleen Manion worked with Zero Ceiling, a non profit committed to ending youth homelessness, who received a Work BC Research & Innovation grant to expand their youth employment programs. Through the research component, the team sought to improve the outcomes of Zero Ceiling’s employment program, and Axe, Childs, and Manion conducted interviews and focus groups in order to understand the experiences of youth who experience multiple barriers to employment.
