During Earth Month, the Indigenous Education department and the Climate Action and Sustainability Team and friends are inviting you to a discussion about the film Yintah on April 22nd.
Jennifer Wickham who directed and produced this award-winning documentary will be joined by Cherylanne James, Indigenous Education Coordinator, for a discussion about the film and themes that emerged.
We anticipate this will be a compelling exploration of Sovereignty, Land and climate justice as well as a deeper look at concepts of colonialism, systemic oppression, and capitalism as they relate to fossil fuel expansion.
This session is preceded by a screening a short version of the film Yintah on April 16th from 12:00PM – 1:00PM in the Dogwood Auditorium. Register for the screening event or watch the film on the CBC or your streaming provider.
