Join us for a special event focused on environmental science careers. This event aims to bring together employers, professionals, and job seekers in the field of environmental science to explore exciting opportunities and discuss the latest trends in the industry.

The Speakers:

-Ashley Everitt from Parks Canada. Ashley has been with Parks Canada since the summer of 2015, originally joining the External Relations team as a promotion and outreach student. In 2020, she became an Interpretation Officer/Coordinator for Fort Rodd Hill, focusing on special events, outreach, and interpretive programing, with a special interest in climate change education. Ashley holds an Economics degree from UVIC, with a specialization in Environmental Economics.

-Natasha Staffeld-Jost from the Government of BC ~ Climate Partnerships and Engagement Branch. (Bio to follow)

-Lilly Woodbury ~ Environmental specialist working towards coastal and marine protection and regeneration with Surfrider Foundation Canada, with a focus on plastic pollution, climate change, and shifting to a circular economy.

-Lloyd Lybbert from Active Earth. Freshly graduated from the BSc is Environmental Science from RRU, Lloyd is an Environmental Technician with this organization since September 2024.

-Dr. Marc d’Entremont is a Registered Professional Biologist (R.P.Bio.) with 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He is based in LGL’s Sidney, B.C., office and serves as a key senior resource for work relating to environmental permitting and regulatory affairs, environmental assessment legislation, and assessments of impacts to birds, wildlife, and terrestrial and marine resources.
