Provides an in-depth examination of the complex and evolving conceptions of leadership in extraordinary times. Major leadership theories and perspectives are considered and engaged personally, interpersonally, and in teams, through an intersectional and social inclusion lens. Critical reflection on leadership readings from the current literatures and students’ own worldviews, conceptions, and experiences of leadership help students understand challenges and opportunities facing today’s leaders as nested personal, organizational, and societal imperatives. Leadership as engagement is a core element of this course requiring students to make timely and sustained weekly contributions.
