The Victoria Foundation's Rachel and Ernest Fox Legacy Award has been established to assist students at Royal Roads who demonstrate the capacity to make a profound change in society, through local or global communities and actions.

This award recognizes Rachel and Ernest Fox's commitment to create opportunities for students and the Victoria Foundation's commitment to life-long learning that shapes strong, resilient and healthy communities.

Eligibility

  • graduated(ing) in any degree program the calendar year the award is available
  • demonstrated(ing) a capacity for leadership or contributions to society through educational preparation
  • students who did not receive significant support for their program, including employer sponsorship or other awards
  • academic merit will be taken into consideration

How to apply

Submit these things to rrufinancialaid@royalroads.ca by September 1st in a competition year. Competitions will run every 5 years starting 2020 (e.g. 2020, 2025, 2030, etc).

  1. Application form, includes a 500-word (max) essay describing eligibility requirements
  2. Statement of Grades from Royal Roads, supplied by the applicant
  3. One reference letter from a Royal Roads faculty or associate faculty member addressing the eligibility requirements

Awarded every five years.
