“Wanting to learn as much as I could and as fast as I could, the BA in International Hotel Management program at Royal Roads University was the best option for me. Each faculty member is fantastic and I love that they’re real professionals working in the industry – we have hotel general managers, human resources directors and even a professor that started out on his tourism career path by working in a remote jungle. Each instructor is inspirational, teaches us how to deal with real-life situations and drives us to excel in our future careers. This is definitely not a stiff, textbook-based experience.
Even though this degree is still fairly young, RRU has done a great job in preparing students for a career in hotel management. The cohort model structure, working with the same small group of students throughout the year, teaches us how to get along with people of all cultures and personalities while still maintaining a high level of professionalism – a skill all of us must have when working in hospitality. Thanks to Royal Roads University, I’m ready, and excited, to take this next step in life and be the best I can be.”
