Systems Thinking in Higher Education: A Compendium of Canadian Case Studies

Dr. Hamilton was awarded Internal Grant for Research funds for a book on the application of systems thinking, this collection of case studies can be used by leaders in complex learning environments.

This book will feature a collection of ten case studies that illustrate the application of systems thinking mindsets, tools, and techniques to a wide variety of complex issues facing higher education institutions in Canada today. The book will be useful to leaders engaged in finding better ways to lead change in complex, dynamic learning environments as well as to students and scholars studying the organizational dynamics in these environments. The case studies will be curated from the final assignments submitted by students in the HEAL 550: Systems Thinking and Strategic Planning in Higher Education course in the MA in Higher Education Administration and Leadership program over the last five years.
