Tim Fricker

Education & Technology programs

Tim Fricker is currently the assistant dean of Student Wellness, Support and Success at the University of Toronto Mississauga. He oversees a portfolio that includes: Health, Counselling, Accessibility Services Testing Services, Athletics and Recreation, and the Comprehensive Student Support Team.

Previously Tim worked at Conestoga College as the dean of students and at Mohawk College as the director of Student Success Initiatives and then as the dean of Students.

During his time at Mohawk College, Tim launched Canada’s only research centre focused primarily on student success and led a variety of studies focused on academic advising, psychologically attuned communication, learning and skills assessment, and student services.

Experience

For more than two decades, Tim has worked within many areas of post-secondary education, including colleges, universities, professional associations, and the private sector.

Tim’s career started in student housing and residence life, then moved into leading campus-wide advising, student success and retention initiatives, and has continued into broad student affairs executive roles.
