Tammy is known for the love in and of her roles as mother, contemplative educator, curriculum developer, leadership coach and facilitator. Through her company Yellow Boots Leadership Collective, she collaborates with fellow coaches, contemplatives and clients and is invited into organizations across Canada to support leaders with a focus on leading in healthy organizational systems, restoring healthy leadership rhythms, and cultivating healthy cultures of compassion and inquiry.
At the heart of it all, we are living in dynamic systems of relationships, constantly adapting, adjusting, aligning, allowing and accepting the movement of this moment. This takes attention, care, love and appreciation.
Working on integrating theory and research into contemplative and holistic leadership education is both an interest and a practice. Her areas of interest and research are in understanding more deeply how attention literacy, seasonal pedagogy, epistemology of love, ethic of care and curriculum theory intersect to develop contemplative and holistic leadership education for leaders in caring environments.
Experience
Prior to leading in Yellow Boots, Tammy was the senior director of organizational health and leadership for the Local Health Integration Network in Ontario from 2005-2012.
Prior to this public sector experience, she worked in private sector with creative entrepreneurs from 1998-2005, both as an entrepreneur and in support of local entrepreneurs as they continued to expand their business and keep an eye on their own energy reserves.
