Tamara Leary

Associate Vice-President

Dr. Tamara Leary joined RRU in the fall of 2015 as an associate professor and program head for the Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and Leadership (MAHEAL) and in 2018 she accepted the appointment of School Director for the School of Education and Technology.  Dr. Leary accepted the position of Associate Vice-President Integrated Academic Planning and Strategic Initiatives as a part of the Vice President Academic and Provost portfolio in December 2023.

Experience

Prior to joining RRU in 2015, Tamara held a variety of leadership roles in university Student Services between 1999 - 2012. As a faculty member she taught in Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Master of Post-Secondary Education program and the University of Manitoba’s Center for Higher Education Research and Development program. Tamara worked as a senior consultant with Academica and continues as an independent consultant within the higher education sector.
