Patti Hergott is a dedicated higher education administer and teacher, with a passion for leadership development and quality accessible education. She has more than 20 years of leadership experience in higher education, focusing on innovation, community collaboration and system integration.
Patti’s professional practice has been centred and influenced by strength-based approaches, effective evaluation and strong partnerships.
A significant focus of Patti’s career has resulted in increased access and pathways to higher education and sustainable employment opportunities for marginalized populations, leading to stronger individual and community outcomes.
Experience
Patti is currently the dean of research & academic innovation at NorQuest College, in Edmonton, Alberta. Her current portfolio includes new program development, program review, curriculum development, education development, educational technology, institutional research, applied research and the Colbourne Institute for Inclusive leadership.
Patti started her career as an instructor, and has held deanship positions for the past 12 years in additional portfolios, including Business and Foundational Learning. Patti also taught in Japan, and other Edmonton post secondary institutes prior to joining NorQuest.
