Jenny Elmaco

Humanitarian Studies

Dr. Jenny Elmaco is an international humanitarian and development specialist and a governance and sustainability strategist. Her transcontinental, multicultural and intersectional (international affairs, government, business and education) career spans Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. She is a constant at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women as a delegate and speaks regularly at conferences to encourage civil society and the private sector to engage in creating resilient communities.

Her research interests include peace, security and international conflict transformation, sustainability, diversity management, corporate social responsibility, risk management, education policy, migration, disaster management, gender and development, media and emerging technologies.

 

 

Experience

Elmaco is currently the secretary general of the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia. She is also the national contact point of the European Commission’s Marie Sklodowska Curie actions. She has managed multi-million Euro Grants and has directed international technical cooperation projects for several international entities. Elmaco worked for Women without Borders and the Austrian Foundation for World Population and International Development in Vienna. Her first job after university was as presidential staff and director under the Office of the President in the Philippines. She is also Silliman University’s director for partnerships.
