Laura and Mike de Jonge Award

This scholarship is made available through the generous donation of Laura and Mike de Jonge. It will be awarded to a graduating master's student enrolled in the School of Communication and Culture, the School of Environment and Sustainability, the School of Leadership Studies, or the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Recipient demonstrates: 1) leadership ability, 2) involvement in, or an aptitude for, community involvement, and 3) contribution to sustainability initiatives.

In preparation for the annual November convocation awards, each School Director is invited to put forward one nomination, and include in their consideration all masters students who are eligible to graduate at the upcoming convocation or who graduated since the last time the award was presented. The Deans review the nominations and agree upon the recipient.

The recipient will be contacted approximately six weeks before November convocation.
