Integrating Sustainability into Business School Curriculum, Understanding the Impact: Disseminating Findings

Dr. Fearon used Research for Professional Development funds to disseminate research on the impact of integrating sustainability into business school curriculum on student sustainability orientations.

In spite of initiatives both within the post-secondary sector and beyond, unsustainable ways of being and working continue as does the perpetuation of teaching associated with the same. Although improvements have been made, many universities are falling behind in terms of pursuing sustainable development goals (SDGs) (Filho et al., 2019). Dr. Fearon’s doctoral research focused on exploring the impact of integrating sustainability into business school curriculum. Findings emerged that suggest taking a holistic approach to integration is most effective in enhancing sustainability orientations. This project is focused on disseminating findings and resultant recommendations, thus proving valuable in enhancing the impact of integration efforts.
