Follow up meta study: Action Research Engagement framework

Dr. Rowe was granted Research and Professional Development funds for a meta analysis of 60 student capstone projects and thesis projects as related to the Action Research Engagement framework.

The Action Research Engagement (ARE) framework was introduced to over 300 MA Leadership students as an approach that facilitates organization change. The model defines an action research process that promotes early engagement of stakeholders in inquiry and dialogue, resulting in “new or revised vision/goals, strategies and actions, and leads to actions plans for sustainable change intervention” (p 4). A meta analysis case study is proposed to examine specific application of ARE across 60 student capstone projects and thesis projects completed in the past 6 years to assess what features of ARE were adopted and whether the ARE process was effective in facilitating change.
