Field Research and Visiting Fellowship April/May 2023

Geoffrey Bird was awarded funding through an Internal Grant for Research to support the making of a documentary film and present at the University of Brighton.

I propose to visit the UK and Belgium to support two projects in April-May, 2023: conducting archival research in support of the documentary vignette series, Wars We Remember War, and; presenting at the Centre for Memory, Narrative and Histories at the University of Brighton, UK where I have been appointed as an Visiting Research Fellow. This work follows two journal articles underway with Dr. Cathy Palmer of U of Brighton.
