Exploring the Intersection of Decolonizing Practice and Creative Change-Making
Catherine Etmanski was awarded Research and Professional Development funds for a study on decolonizing practice and creative change-making through three half-day Zoom workshops.
The enormity of the world’s problems demands our attention daily. Yet, how do we truly begin to shift the dial on these seemingly intractable, complex, and painful challenges? The same approaches often yield the same results; therefore, untangling and addressing today’s challenges requires a change in the ways in which we perceive the world and take action. This study includes three half-day Zoom workshops with Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders working toward decolonization and creative change-making. In the workshops, participants explore how they are working toward change in their own spheres of influence.
