Mental Health Week is on May 6 – 12, 2024 and this year’s theme is centred on the healing power of compassion and “A Call to be Kind”.

Navigating the complexities of balancing school, work, family and life can be challenging and leave us exhausted, stressed, and questioning whether we’re ‘good enough’. Self-compassion is one way we can bolster our wellbeing and mental health, protecting us against burnout, depression and anxiety.  In turn, this makes it a little easier for us to move through the ongoing stressors of school.

Join RRU’s Counselling & Learning Strategy team for an online workshop where we will explore what true self-compassion looks like and the benefits of self-compassion for your academic journey. Specific strategies will be offered as well as a chance to practice some mindfulness exercises.
