Creating Thriving Organizational Cultures with Different Generations

How can we create a thriving organizational culture across a multigenerational workforce? On February 29, join Dr. Kathy Bishop, program head for the MA in Leadership (Executive Leadership Specialization) and program graduate Diane Drouin to explore the opportunities and challenges that emerge when different generations work together within the same organization. 

In this session, we'll address the following questions through an intergenerational lens:

• Why is organizational culture crucial in strategy implementation?  
• Can organizational culture affect employee performance and happiness?  
• When does organizational culture become toxic?  
• How to consider the differing values of Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, Millennials and Gen Zers? 
• What are some strategies for executive leaders to create a thriving intergenerational culture?  

Learn about Diane's capstone project on enhancing community social responsibility for intergenerational shared sites and programming. Also, you’ll get the chance to learn about innovative intergenerational initiatives underway in Ottawa, providing valuable models for exploration.
