Enabling Public Leadership: Capacity through Strengthening Individual Courage Capacity

Dr. Krause was granted Research and Professional Development funds to address the most pressing challenges in the 21st century through public leadership at several academic conferences.

The question that drives this work and this presentation is: how can we be more courageous and in a way that creates the ability within us and together to address the great challenges we are grappling with sustainably? This research illustrates that some activists have, in fact, demonstrated the forms of courage we argue is critical for a shift to occur, and they continue to do so. Yet, others seem to show admirable courage and take part in public leadership with great vision and enthusiasm, but then only for short periods of time.
