Campus Ambassador Program

Are you a current Royal Roads student and passionate about your journey and want to share your experience with students? If so, you should become a Campus Ambassador

Campus Ambassadors has gone virtual! Until further notice, all Ambassador training and volunteer activities will be hosted online.

We believe in students helping students. The Student Engagement team is looking for volunteers from all around the world who can share their knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm with new and current students by supporting a range of orientations, campus-wide outreach, welcome activities, tours, and events.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering can provide you with the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, and engage with the campus community. Moreover, it will gain a wide range of transferrable skills that are beneficial to the work-life including complex problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, collaborating with others, decision-making, service orientation, and cognitive flexibility. What is my commitment?

A Campus Ambassador is a voluntary role and usually requires a commitment of approximately 3 hours/week, but may be more during big events. A key responsibility is to increase awareness of opportunities, activities, and events available to strengthen the community, on a time that suits your schedule. Campus Ambassadors will also be involved in planning and executing events, putting up posters, circulating flyers, sharing updates on social media groups, hosting information booths, speaking to students, and any other creative, innovative strategy you come up with to support the community.

What's in it for you?

As a Campus Ambassador you will meet new people and make a positive contribution in the community, gain experience to enhance your resume, and receive a recognition letter acknowledging your participation as a Campus Ambassador. The Campus Ambassador who shows the most innovation and initiative will be awarded a certificate of achievement.
