Locates business and management within a socio-ecological system in which societal (human) and ecological (biophysical) subsystems are linked through mutual dependencies and interaction. Examines the socio-ecological implications of various economic institutions, business models, products/services and processes, with particular emphasis on those that produce beneficial ecological outcomes. Explores business and management within the context of socio-ecological causes and consequences of climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution and toxification, and other critical environmental issues of the 21st century.
