Juana Du was awarded an Internal Grant for Research for research on interactions of international students during COVID-19 to help develop strategies and programs at higher education institutions.
How do foreign language skills, communication patterns, and daily interactions impact international students’ academic and social life during and after COVID-19 pandemic? How does the use of social media impact the interactive dynamic of international students in higher education institutions in Canada? This research advances our understandings of international students’ experiences during and after the COVID-19. It provides practical implications for higher education institutions to creatively develop strategies and programs to support international students. What’s more, it offers suggestions for universities to create an open campus culture and develop language policy in education experiences.
