I show up to all my conversations with a renewed confidence and knowing.
Christopher Lawrence, MAEOC, 2024
When I chose Royal Roads University, I knew I was looking for something unique—something that would allow me to continue my full-time career while pursuing a Master's degree that would make a meaningful difference. The Master of Arts in Executive and Organizational Coaching stood out because it was designed for working professionals like me. The program gave me the flexibility to balance my business and education without sacrificing one for the other. That balance, combined with the incredible community at Royal Roads, is what made it the perfect choice for me.
One moment that will stay with me forever was when I defended my thesis. The energy in the room was palpable. After months of hard work, research, and countless revisions, hearing the words "outright pass" was overwhelming. I burst into tears, and to my surprise, so did my thesis supervisor, the committee members, and even the moderator. It wasn’t just a personal victory—it felt like a collective celebration of all the people who had supported me along the way. It was truly one of the most emotional and rewarding experiences of my life.
This program has completely transformed how I show up in the world. Not only have I gained professional respect from my peers, but I also feel more confident in every conversation. I approach situations with a fresh perspective, ask better questions, and trust myself as both a professional and a researcher. The growth I’ve experienced through this program has been profound, and it extends far beyond the classroom.
If you're considering Royal Roads, my advice is simple: do it. The support from professors, peers, and resources like the writing center was incredible. Whenever I felt lost, there was always someone there to guide me. It’s not just an academic journey—it’s soul-filling. You’ll grow in ways you never expected, and you won’t regret taking this step.
