Career Development

Career Learning & Development office

You’ve got ambition – we can help!

Your career goals are unique to you.  Whether you want to work internationally, launch a business, work in a large corporation or develop your career locally - you are unique, and so are your career goals.  RRU’s Career Learning & Development (CLD) office offers career guidance to students who are seeking advice around their career goals either as part of an academic work term or during their job search.

COVID-19 Resources

Both Canadian and British Columbian Governments have launched various initiatives to support businesses and individuals during the COVID-19 crisis:

Career Support Services

Wondering what to do with your career?  How to excel at that next job interview?  Or just how to start the first steps of your job search?

The career services' self-access resources assist students with non-academic career-related questions.

Work Integrated Learning

Do you have an internship or a practicum as an academic course of your program?

The CLD office provides support to students with an academic internship or practicum through structured, prerequisite preparatory job search classes and one-on-one vocational coaching.  The CLD office works closely with each Program Office to schedule in-class sessions to support you in your work term goals.

CareerRoads is RRU’s career database of engaged employers who may be open to supporting students in a variety of academic and career-related activities. More than just a job board, this searchable database offers students a network of organizations connected to RRU’s programs and unique education model.
