Canadian Values Conversation 2019

Dr. Taylor used a Research and Professional Development grant for the Canadian Values Conversations research project: a values and citizen engagement survey.

The Canadian Values Conversations project piloted a combined research panel and open access national values survey (n=3536), nine values cafés from Victoria to Halifax with 250 participants, national facilitator network, and internet and social media. Pilot phase outcomes suggested strategies for: (1) survey redesign, (2) reconfiguration of values conversations, (3) digital research with public and social media. This second ‘chapter’ of the Canadian Values Conversations builds on the pilot phase completed in 2017-2018 to redesign and to generate private, governmental and granting council support for the ongoing project, a values survey and citizen engagement dimension biennially.
