Objective of the arrangement:
Royal Roads University (RRU) intends to grant credit towards two core courses in the Master of Arts in Leadership program, based on the recognition of prior learning, to students who have successfully completed the Canadian Police College (CPC) Executive Development in Policing (EDP) program.
Granting Credits and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):
The following transfer of credits will be granted by this agreement:
- Completion of CPC EDP Course 1 online: Part 1 Course 4A online Strategic Change Project Part II, 4B in-class; Foundations of Executive Leadership, and Course 2 in-class: Police Executive organizational and Strategic Development will be eligible for 3 credits for the RRU course, LEAD 516: Concepts and Theories of Leadership in Organizations; and
- Completion of CPC EDP Course 3 online: Strategic Change Project will be eligible for 3 credits for the RRU course, LEAD 517: Self Directed Studies.
All CPC EDP graduates wishing to enter the RRU Master of Arts in Leadership Program will need to apply through the regular RRU admissions process and meet the admission requirements.
