Canadian End-of-life Care Publications Registration for Nexus Discourse Analysis

Dr. Li was granted Research and Professional Development funds for a research project to inventory publications on end-of-life care for an analysis through an intercultural communication lens.

Canadian end-of-life care expertise are usually distributed as publications free for informal caregivers. Are these publications written and sent in an appropriate and effective way to their readers? This project aims to set up an inventory of these publications in order to conduct a nexus discourse analysis to examine their intercultural communication appropriateness and effectiveness. The findings can help healthcare institutes to pinpoint the knowledge translation gaps and enhance their communication competence.
