Book Launch Panel at Community Health Connections Conference
Dr. Hartney was granted Research and Professional Development funds to launch a book on culturally-based community-health centres at an academic conference in Ottawa, Canada.
This grant will allow Dr Elizabeth Hartney to attend the Community Health Connections conference, to be held on June 12-13, 2019 at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre. At the conference, Dr Hartney will be participating in a panel discussing a chapter she is co-authoring with two Royal Roads University alumni, on “Development of culturally-based community-health centres through Indigenous leadership and collaborative allyship,” in the book, Community Health Centres in Canada. This book is edited by editors Kate Mulligan and Jennifer Rayner, and published by Canadian Scholars. The book will promote Indigenous health research at Royal Roads University.
