Active Learning for Real-World Inquiry
Dr. Hamilton received Research for Professional Development funds to edit, produce and publish the open educational resource: ‘Active learning for real-world inquiry.’
'Active Learning for Real-World Inquiry' is an open educational resource publication that serves as a compendium of active learning approaches to teaching applied research concepts and methods. The distinctive feature of this book is that the content is based on submissions from educators who have tested out the teaching strategies in practice. Submitters have been asked to share the purpose of the activity, describe the process of implementing it, and reflect on its impact on students. As well, contributors have been asked to describe the relevant research related to the submission that supports key active learning principles.
