Career Learning and Development is pleased to host an industry panel discussion on transitioning from academia to careers in the environmental sphere. Three panelists in environmental-related positions from various sectors will share their unique career journeys that led them to their current roles. Learn about the challenges and opportunities encountered along the way and gather valuable advice for those looking to make a similar transition.

Panelists:

  • Ojinya Adoba, Marine Emergency Response Coordinator, Government of Snuneymuxw First Nation – RRU MA Environment and Management Alumni. Environmental scientist, effluent analyst, water quality expert and entrepreneur.
  • Ben Clark, RRU MA Environment and Management Alumni. A seasoned climate and sustainability professional with 20 years of diverse experience spanning business, government, and non-profit sectors.
  • Farnoush Lavafpour, Project Coordinator, Kinetic Construction – RRU MA Environment and Management Alumni. A multidisciplinary professional with a strong foundation in sustainable construction, environmental management, and applied chemistry.
