Building online communities: A study of MAISCON

Dr. Childs received Research for Professional Development funds to examine ways to build online learning communities and effectively integrate participants into online programs.

These funds will be used to continue research into and knowledge dissemination for a new component of an ongoing project that examines ways to build online learning communities and effectively integrate participants, who come with different goals and expectations, into online programs (Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies Connect, or MAISCON). While this project has received partial funding to review the Master of Arts in Learning and Technology Link, there is a need for additional data collection for MAISCON.
