My only regret is not taking the program earlier in my career!

“For three decades, tourism has been the only field I’ve known. A friend encouraged me to look into Royal Roads, saying I wouldn’t regret it. She was right – my only regret is not taking the program earlier in my career!

The experience far exceeded my expectations. The blended program allowed me to continue to work while learning with and from a talented cohort of industry peers. On-campus residencies provided intensive, memorable educational and team-building experiences in the most beautiful setting imaginable. The instructors brought an invaluable depth and breadth of real-world knowledge.

Most importantly, the Master of Arts in Tourism Management program gave me the confidence to voice and share my opinions with industry leaders, something I wouldn’t have had the courage to do prior to my Royal Roads experience.

My graduate research project also opened my eyes to an unchartered part of the tourism industry – female recreational anglers. This interest has quickly transformed into a passion, and I’ve connected with some amazing women who are making waves in their field.

I couldn’t be more energized as I enter my fourth decade working in the most exciting industry in the world. And I suspect a fishing rod may play an important role in my future!”
