“My decision to choose Royal Roads has proven to be an incredible stepping stone, and earning this degree has already paid off significantly. I was recently assigned the task of Commanding Officer for Canadian Forces Station Alert, and I believe I received this opportunity specifically because of the research I completed at RRU. Because of the Disaster and Emergency Management program, I now have the opportunity to lead our emergency services into a whole new realm of community services. 

In my ongoing quest for continuous learning, I am proud to call RRU 'My university.' I learned a tremendous amount about emergency management through my program, and working closely with people from civilian backgrounds provided an incredible opportunity to share, learn, and appreciate what each group brought to the table. The program delivers a practical degree that has superb application in the protection of our communities and work places, and earning this degree provides a significant amount of credibility in respect to emergency management.”
