What really gave RRU an edge over other institutions was the hands-on approach to learning.

“Before enrolling in the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science program, I did my research and found few west coast programs, if any, that were similar in calibre to the one offered at Royal Roads University. A number of factors attracted me to RRU, such as the easy transfer process and as a mature student, the compressed 12-month curriculum. But what really gave RRU an edge over other institutions was the applied and hands-on approach to learning – by focusing on group work and critical thinking, this school fully prepares its students for the team-oriented workforce. And for me, the skills and knowledge I took away from the BSc program have been relevant both professionally and personally.

The instructors were fantastic, interactive, dedicated and truly top-notch. Many of my professors were industry professionals, taking time away from their busy careers to teach students and share real-life experiences. The RRU campus was wonderful too. With views of the ocean and mountains, an on-site castle and great recreational facilities, it was an amazing setting and a nice contrast to a busy curriculum.”
