Ken Christie on Canada, Hong Kong and extradition treaty

Prof. Ken Christie appeared on The Adam Stirling Show on CFAX 1070 to discuss the suspension of Canada’s extradition treaty with Hong Kong as a result of new security laws which China passed that affect basic democratic rights in Hong Kong.

“When Hong Kong was handed back in 1997, China signed an agreement that they would not interfere in Hong Kong’s general affairs; they would be one country but two systems and what happened in China would be different than in Hong Kong…basically this new law criminalizes protest.”
