I can apply my learning to real-life situations, so learning is practical and relevant.

“As a K-12 educational administrator, I was looking for a program that would help me become an effective leader, and the Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Management at Royal Roads University looked like the right solution for me. The emphasis on collaboration and practical applications of learning at RRU was a transformative experience, and the collective knowledge of my cohort enriched my understanding. The program is practical, stimulating, and challenging, and ideal for those interested in becoming an educational leader.

The cohort model is brilliant and the blended learning model creates a richer learning experience. Each student brings unique strengths, interests, and experiences to our collaborative learning environment. It’s encouraging to learn with a group of people who are also balancing work, school, and home. The on-campus residency helps students connect, and this makes the online portion more meaningful. The relationships formed during the residencies are strengthened over time, despite the distance. Before coming to RRU I guarded my work and didn’t want anyone to critique it. Now, I’ve learned that through collaboration, my work can be stronger than it was before.”
