Regulation type
The number of credits already counted toward another non-embedded credential that may be used as transfer credit toward a new credential is limited. At the undergraduate level, when allowed by program requirements, this is normally only permitted for courses at the first and second year levels and for up to 15 credits in the third year, as outlined below. At the master’s level, when allowed by program requirements, credit earned toward a graduate level credential (i.e., a graduate certificate, graduate diploma, or master’s degree) can be approved for use toward another graduate level credential by the head of the receiving academic program and the appropriate dean and the registrar, as outlined below.
