The Tarnowski Empowered Professional Award has been established to assist students enrolled in a graduate degree program at Royal Roads University who are making a difference in the healthcare sector.
The award has been established by Glenda Tarnowski, a Master of Arts in Leadership (Health specialization) alumnus and reflects her strong belief in life-long learning and competence development as key to self-actualization as an empowered professional and leader in the healthcare sector.
Eligibility
- enrolled in the second year of a graduate degree program
- preference given to students in Master of Arts Leadership (Health specialization. graduate students not enrolled in the health specialization but whose practice focuses on enhancing the healthcare sector may also be eligible
- in good academic standing, with minimum grade point average of 3.50/4.33
- best able to describe how their Royal Roads education is changing their leadership practice in the healthcare sector and/ or enhancing healthcare
How to apply
- this In-Course Award is open to students who are active in their program on the deadline date
- pending the availability of funding, the competition aims to run annually from December 1st to February 1st (closes 11:59pm RRU time)
- applications are submitted online through MyAdmin. A full list of awards in competition will be viewable upon login
- address eligibility criteria for all awards in that competition in one one-page essay with your name in top margin
