Russ Johnston (Sungilawakan) hails from Neyaashiinigmiing (Chippewas of Nawash unceded First Nation) via the traditional territories of the Mississaugas of the Anishinaabeg.
His background includes work in Indigenous community research, entrepreneurial consulting, sustainable economic development and cultural protocol education. Russ holds a Master of Arts in Indigenous Governance from the University of Victoria.
