The Robert and Patricia Herbert Leadership Entrance Award has been established to help address financial barriers to education for equity-deserving students entering Royal Roads' Leadership and Management programs who demonstrate financial need. The award is designed to provide greater access to leadership education and professional goals.
Eligibility
- are entering a Leadership and Management program.
- identify as part of an equity-deserving group including but not limited to Indigenous Peoples, persons with a permanent disability, people of colour, and other intersecting equity-deserving identities.
- have demonstrated either:
- academic achievement. Examples include academic excellence in previous related studies; awards and honours; leadership and advancement in the relevant field of study, or
- selfless dedication to volunteerism and community involvement
- preference may be given to applicants who demonstrate reasonable financial need and/or to those who have overcome exceptional personal challenges (e.g. former youth in care, children of fallen service members, etc.)
How to apply
- this Entrance Award is open to students who are (or will be) active in their program after the deadline date
- pending the availability of funding, the competition will run annually from December 1st to February 1st (closes 11:59pm RRU time)
- applications are submitted online through MyAdmin. A full list of awards in competition will be viewable upon login
