Herb Waye has been an associate faculty member at Royal Roads University for more than ten years. During this time, he's facilitated both the Applied Research Project and the Justice Practicum (Field Study) in the Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies program.
In 2007, Herb was conferred a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training from RRU. His area of specialization was Justice and Public Safety Leadership.
Herb was appointed as the Ombudsman for the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers in July 2016. Herb and his wife Christine live on a small hobby farm in Oxford Mills, Ontario, Canada.
Experience
Herb became an associate faculty member at RRU shortly after completing his master's degree, where he now teaches the final course in the online justice studies program. In this course, students complete their degrees by conducting applied research projects or justice field studies.
Herb retired from the RCMP at the rank of Sergeant in 2013 and returned as a reserve constable for another four years. He spent his career in law enforcement in federal and protective policing in Quebec and Ontario.
