George Fedha's career spans more than 30 years in development and humanitarian cooperation, partnerships, resource mobilization, strategy and operations, and online teaching. This includes 15 years in leadership positions at the United Nations World Food Programme.
He has applied scholar-practitioner approaches to his work including in areas of leadership in complex and fragile settings, community engagement, rural transformation, crisis management and organizational learning.
Experience
During Fedha's learning and professional journey in various countries including, Italy, Philippines, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, South Africa, Uganda, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Djibouti, Eritrea, Rwanda and Zimbabwe, he has fostered alliances for innovation with local academic institutions.
In his current role as the Country Representative of the UN World Food Programme in Namibia, he continues to strengthen the role of academia in the Food Systems approach to development, front-sitting the participation of the youth and women in development with a focus on innovative and technological solutions that promote healthy and nutritious diets in Namibia.
