Mokhtarzadeh’s research spans natural resource economics, climate economics, monetary policy, and financial economics. Her work focuses on the socio-economic impacts of forest investments, the design of quantitative frameworks for reforestation and climate mitigation initiatives, the assessment of climate-related financial risks, and the analysis of macroeconomic resilience. She combines applied econometrics, economic theory, and experimental methods to address policy-relevant questions at the intersection of sustainability and macroeconomics. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Experimental Economics, Journal of Forest Economics, and Journal of Environmental Management, and has contributed to academic and policy discussions on climate and economic resilience.
Experience
Mokhtarzadeh has taught courses in finance, risk management, and public policy at academic institutions in Canada, and has mentored students at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
