Dr. Dave Whittington provides training, facilitation and coaching services to organizations, teams and individuals. He has a background in science, engineering and education. He is especially interested in strategic leadership, organizational culture and workplace innovation. Most of his work is in the Greater Victoria area working with the high technology sector and the health sector. Whittington moved to Canada from the UK in 2004 and became a Canadian citizen in May 2012.
Experience
Prior to Royal Roads, Whittington was a lecturer at the University of Glasgow where he taught technological education and researched educational technology. He joined Royal Roads in 2000 as an associate faculty member and has worked in the Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Leadership programs, as well as various Executive Education programs. He is a partner at Calliope Learning with his wife Tammy Dewar and an active volunteer with Leadership Victoria.
He is a certified training and development professional with the Canadian Society for Training and Development.
